School Representatives

School Council

We aim to provide children with opportunities for personal development and to enable them to have a say in the future of their school. The School Council meets regularly to discuss issues and make decisions. Each class has two representatives on the Council and voting takes place at the beginning of each new school year.

Every child has the opportunity to stand for election at the beginning of a new school year. Children write a manifesto which is delivered to their class and this is followed by an election with one vote per child. Each class from Year 1 upwards have 2 representatives on the school council. The younger children being represented by one of the older children.

The pupils meet regularly to represent views / concerns with the aim of improving the school community.
